The facilities were wonderful, and we were impressed by the number of things they offer during the day. We also enjoyed the breakfast a lot. The property is non-smoking and is situated 400 metres from Gion Shijo Station. The beds were super comfortable. We loved the free matcha coffee maker on the 9th floor and the free treats there. Also the onsen experience was very good and not intimidating. Clean and easy facilities to use. The supplied robes were quite lovely. Staff was super friendly. Location is fantastic for great shopping and not far from various temples by taxi. Really fun organic/specialty grocery store across the street. Pretty view from the rooftop bar (which also boasts a foot soak option!). Good powerful shower and nice smelling bathroom amenities.

The onsen is great, the rooms are decent size (for Japan) and the service is friendly and helpful. Lovely amenities too both at the onsen and in room. No shoes allowed in the hotel which adds to the cleanliness. Socks are supplied as are pajamas which everyone wears so you feel very much like you're part of the hotel community. Lots of free stuff thrown in like late night ramen, ice lollies, washing machines, massage chairs. Breakfast is amazing - huge selection of Japanese breakfast options to choose from and nothing ever runs out. Luggage transport service was also taken care of - my bag was waiting for me when I checked in. Loved this hotel.

They even helped us send our luggage straight to Tokyo and were very attentive about a gluten allergy one of us has. The food was a solid 10 out of 10. We had an outstanding dinner and a traditional Japanese breakfast with all the small, beautifully presented dishes.

Everything was top notch, from the shuttle, to the staff, to the rooms, meals and amenities! I was a welcomed change of pace from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and area. The food prepared at dinner was almost too beautiful to eat, not to mention delicious! We had a private Onsen on our balcony and it was worth the extra money to be able to use it at our leisure. I cannot say enough about it. If given the opportunity, stay here, you won’t be disappointed!!
