Am I allowed to say everything. View is splendid. Owner is super fun and helpful. The sheets have heater (that's a first for me). Basically, they provide everything. They went out their way to figure what guests would want for a stay.

When we travel, we generally pick simple places that meet the following criteria - clean, good hot water supply, good wifi, the option to make tea and a basic breakfast in the morning, and ideally quiet. This motel met all of those! We also did our laundry(wash and dry) on the premises for $6NZD. Other reviewers mention sitting outside their rooms enjoying the countryside and birds. There were rooms that could potentially do that, but our table and chairs faced the parking lot and were close to the street, so it depends on which room you get. Since that's not something we typically do, it didn't detract from our rating.

The Westhaven Motel is located in the heart of the South Island's West Coast Glacier Country, within the South West World Heritage area.

Has everything you ned for a comfy stay in Fox. We stayed there for one night and arrived late and left early. Everything clean and well managed!

Lake Matheson Motel offers peaceful, newly renovated accommodation with views of Mt Cook, only 400 metres from the main street of Fox Glacier town centre.

We had to cut our stay short by one day due to closure of the Haast Pass in the direction of our travel. Lake Matheson were very understanding and refunded us promptly, even though a road closure is clearly not their fault. Thank you so much for that! Good size room, clean, quiet and comfortable. Well equipped kitchenette.

58 On Cron is located in the foothills of the Southern Alps. We are just 5 minutes from village centre and the Franz Josef Glacier is a 10-minute drive away.
