From the first moment, though, the beauty paled in comparison to the warmth of the staff. Taranga, one of manager's, greeted us with a smile so bright it could have chased away monsoon clouds. He checked us in with the efficiency of a hummingbird, all while making us feel like long-lost friends. Thanks to you Taranga, the Golden Crown wasn't just a stunning hotel, it was a home away from home. We left feeling like we'd discovered not just a hidden gem, but a new family!

The spacious rooms and the entire complex are extremely clean and the pool is a great highlight in the warm temperatures. The terrace by the pool offers a unique view of the landscape. We were provided with yoga mats in the morning - a perfect start to the day. The whole team is very polite, customer-oriented and courteous! We had a wonderful stay and can highly recommend the hotel - away from the hustle and bustle of Kandy.
