The building is a wonder and itself worth the visit. Joyce and her team were so attentive, personable, and helpful and family-style meals were excellent. Utupoa sits directly on the beach and easily reachable by foot from the village of Matemwe. What a wonderful way for our family to get to know a corner of Zanzibar and to unwind from our adventures. Free WiFi is offered and free private parking is available on site. Very nice staff. Good restaurant and delicious breakfast. We got a free upgrade to a better bungalow. The accommodation had a wonderful atmosphere. Lots of hammocks, beautiful interior and lovely dogs. We admired numerous palm trees and listened to the sound of the sea. We liked the quiet, almost deserted beach. There are far fewer traders than on other beaches.

The bungalows are spacious and perfectly clean, the beds are large and comfortable, the view is stunning. The food deserves a Michelin star, the offer is varied, the ingredients are fresh every day, the portions are very generous, certainly above the price. The owner and all the staff are very accommodating, kind and ready to dedicate themselves to each guest to make them feel at home. My special thanks go to the hostess Suzy , whose helpfulness and kindness go beyond the limit and who made our stay even more beautiful. If you are planning to visit Zanzibar, do not make the mistake of not visiting this special piece of paradise. Thank you all, even though we left, a piece of my heart remained there 💓
