Lorena, the host, was amazing and made us feel at home every day while we were there. Breakfast was tasty and they were preparing it earlier than usual as we had early morning tours. We felt very connected with the nature and spent amazing days.

Jacamar Lodge Expeditions ligt aan de oevers van de Amazone-rivier, midden in de jungle en op 120 km van het centrum van Iquitos. Danny was the best tour guide. He took good care of us and gave us the best jungle experience according to our needs. We saw so many different animals (sloth, baby alligator, piranhas, dolphins, birds, wolf spider, firefly and many others) during a short stay, thank you Danny! Didn’t got mosquito bites at the lodge at all, (but be prepared at night in the jungle🤫). Last but not the least, the food at the lodge was fresh and simply delicious (I tried some fancy restaurants at Cusco but I liked the food at the lodge more!)

Pacaya Samiria Amazon Lodge - ALL INCLUSIVE ligt in Nauta met uitzicht op de tuin en heeft een restaurant, een gratis shuttleservice, bar, tuin en terras. Er is gratis WiFi. The location and the activities and the staff. It was all fantastic.

De Amazon Muyuna Lodge is een ecolodge in het Tamshiyacu Tahuayo Communal Reserve, gelegen aan de oever van de Amazone, op 3 uur van het centrum van Iquitos. Away from everything, on a reserve , great guide Cesar! We got to see wild life at its own habitat, trips at night were amazing! We got to swim where some pink dolphins (boto) was jump around. Felt very safe, slept very well, food was good. The staff were great and very helpful! The company let you keep your bags at their agency before flight some you get to see Iquitos for a few hours. Amazing trip, very memorable.

Ämak Iquitos Ecolodge - All Inclusive ligt in Santa Clara en biedt accommodatie met volpension en excursies op de rivier en het regenwoud. The whole experience is very well organized - from check in/ check out, transfers, experiences, meals. The stuff is very welcoming, warm, friendly and always trying to be helpful. The food was absolutely amazing! The cabañas are super comfortable and clean, the common area is very spacious and the outdoor space is a dream! Huge thanks to Julio and Mamerto for making our trip memorable.

Libertad Jungle Lodge biedt accommodatie met een terras in Yucuruche. Je kunt bij de lodge in de buurt uitstekend vissen en kanoën, of gebruikmaken van de tuin. The staff are exceptional. My guide Joel came and picked me up from the airport and took me to the lodge in safety, which is approximately 2-3 hours travel. During my stay I felt completely safe as a solo traveller. The food was fresh and amazing every time with freshly made juices from local fruit in every meal. The lodge is beautiful and the rooms feature your own balcony with an incredible view. Regarding the facilities, the lodge is located on the river and is built with natural materials, so of course, expect to see insects. You are in the jungle after all! The mosquito nets do a really good job though, so I didn't have any trouble sleeping. Expect to hear wildlife noises from your room, although I quite enjoyed waking up with the sound of birds every day. The activities were super organised, and they offer a big variety for day and night experiences. All of them are wildlife experts, you get a personal guide, a personalised tour and a boat driver at all times. Don't forget to tip your guides! They will totally deserve it as well. They try their hardest to make your experience an amazing one! If you are crazy about wildlife, I recommend Joel. He could spot all sorts of animals from a distance, so I got to see a lot of different species. Both, with Wilson, the canoe driver, they had amazing coordination. I totally recommend the lodge and I would do it all over again. When you get there, you will see there are other lodges as well, which seemed to target tourists more, but not sure either. I am happy I chose this one and got to support their community!
