Sato-san was an amazing host who made my stay easier whenever he could (e.g. by dropping me off at Kutchan station for a bus to Rusutsu). The house is a classic ski lodge, and amazing that this option still exists when so come of Hirafu has come to be dominated by giant, sterile hotels. Hope Sato and Lodge Cowbell are there for years to come!

David and Elle are great hosts, always so kind and helpful, they made us fantastic breakfast every morning and drove shuttle up to the mountain. Walk back from ski field to accommodation was just around 10 minutes. Accommodation was always clean and warm, perfect place for ski holidays!
