Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. From Laugarfell you have access to many hiking trails and you are close to the road leading to Askja. Laugarfell is accessible for all types of vehicles. The staff were so friendly and personable. Very clean facilities. The hot pools were amazing, especially after a long day of hiking. Loved the isolated surroundings as well. Very relaxing and secluded.

Amazing accommodation situated in front of an amazing view of a mountain range. Remote enough that we were able to see the Northern Lights from here but only minutes away from a city in case you need anything. Would stay here again!

Our room was spacious and had a beautiful view of the lagoon. The room was clean and comfortable- it seemed as if our building had recently been renovated, but I'm not sure. The proeprty was set between mountains and lagoon and had horses and sheep, which waa a bonus so the views were lovely. The food (breakfast and dinner) was wonderful! The lodge served meat and sausage made from their own livestock and served some good Icelandic dishes. The staff was also super helpful. It was a delightful stay.

Cosy and charming wooden house with modern interiors. The house has a beautiful view overlooking the glacier, a comfortable sofa and a fully equipped kitchen. The owner was very kind and helpful. We had a wonderful time there and we would have loved to stay longer!

As per the hotel naming, it's one of the good spot to recommend if you're travelling to Iceland to chase after aurora. Thanks for the staffs on duty, their warmest and hospitality in service for prompt us for her dancing shows which is right in behind the lodge.
