Ideaal om de hoge Tatra verder te ontdekken met de auto (parkeerkosten tot 10€ in strbske Pleso) of per trein (1€ per rit). Het hotel is nieuw. Wij sliepen in de chalet-bijbouw die net was geopend. Het appartement biedt alle nodige comfort, wordt dagelijks gepoetst en heeft heerlijke bedden. Het eten is heel lekker. Buffet is beperkt, maar supervers en op de juiste temperatuur. Het zwembad is ideaal voor de kinderen terwijl je als ouder in de jacuzzi ontspant. Kortom, geweldig! Wij komen nog eens terug.

Hotel HORIZONT RESORT is in the village of Stará Lesná, only 2 km from Tatranská Lomnica the ski area. Beautiful hotel, great location, nearby all points of interest. The pool is great, heated (33-34 degrees), there's both a small indoor and a bigger outdoor playground which was really great for the kids. The room was massive with beautiful views of forests and mountains. Everything was spotless. The food choice is not massive but the quality is top notch and the menu changes daily which was really nice. Highly recommended for a nature-first holiday with kids. Having bathrobes waiting in the room exactly the size for our kids was a beautiful touch.

Just 300 metres from the Jakubova lúka Ski Centre, this apartment house can be found 1 km from the centre of Starý Smokovec. Big, comfortable room. View to the mountains. Very good location - quite, next to the river and small market. Parking place is dedicated for each room, under the roof. Definitely the best place for such a price.

We knew this hotel from 40 years ago when my grandparents stayed there. It was a fancy hotel back then and although it aged, they managed to revamp it in a way that it is a very good value for money. The wellness section has so much variety we could spend the whole day there. Room is spacious and comfortable. Other facilities like kids club and bowling are great addition for families with kids. Location is fantastic, all the main hiking routes pass by the hotel, we didn't even take the car out most days.

Friendly and helpful staff at the reception desk, in the restaurant and wellness. Great wellness facilities. Perfect location, especially for people who come without a car. Lovely restaurant and delicious food.
