Home Hotel Plaza ligt aan het voetgangersgebied Västra Torggatan in het centrum van Karlstad en is gevestigd in een stijlvol art nouveau-gebouw uit de jaren 1890. Great accomodation, very reccomended. Arrived by car : there is a private garage in front of the Hotel with a specific tariff for hotel guests; there is also a public open-air parking in the nearby which is cheaper (I used EasyPark app to pay). Perfect room and private bathroom. Great buffet at breakfast, and also the dinner (included in the room price) was great.

Clarion Collection Hotel Drott lies directly opposite Karlstad Central Station. There is free sauna and hot tub access. Nice location in the city centre near the train station. Got the impression it was an old hotel, but with modern facilities. Nice breakfast, and the dinner buffet, which in my case was included, was really good (the bad thing was that it would be a waste having dinner at some of the nice restaurants in the neighbourhood). Plus for having breakfast from 07.00 in the weekends.

It felt like we were in a dream, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect setting. This hotel exceeded our expectations and made our anniversary a truly unforgettable experience. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a romantic getaway in a picturesque setting. We can't wait to return!
