The rooms has air conditioning, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a coffee machine, a shower, free toiletries and a desk. With a private bathroom, some rooms at the hotel also have a terrace. Guest rooms feature a wardrobe. Free WiFi is provided throughout. Twins rooms upon request and availability. This was our favorite hotel. We had a balcony which was well worth the extra cost and would recommend. Wonderful helpful staff who organized a wine tour for us.. great breakfast, comfy bed.. couldn’t ask for more. Although the location is up a hill, Ubers are cheap if you don’t want to walk it and the view is worth it.

Very charming, family-run hotel in the hills of the Douro Valley with not only an extraordinary view on the bending river. But most strikingly - the house has personality which obviously reflects the owner’s passion for place, history and intimacy. Vintage items, personal photos here and there makes you feel like staying at a friends’ place who also has lovely recommendations at hand when you look for places to explore. And if you want to just relax and enjoy the view - the hotel’s pool and the surrounding terraces are just perfect to calm down. Moreover: one of us was sick during our stay - and the hosts were super helpful, understanding and supporting, this was extraordinary. Thank you so much!
