If you're planning a trip to Anuradhapura or Mihintale to explore the sacred Buddhist sites, and you're looking for something authentic and off the tourist trail, stay in Mihintale. It's rich with temples and spiritual atmosphere. Stay at Janaka’s place, ask him for advice, and you won’t be disappointed.

I highly recommend this property for anyone looking for great hospitality and excellent Sri Lankan food.

Bangalawa resort is een prachtplek. Een mooie tuin, een fijn zwembad, maar vooral een plek waar je je thuis voelt dankzij het geweldige personeel en hun oprechte en persoonlijke gastvrijheid. We zijn een week gebleven en hebben enorm genoten. Het ontbijt was veruit het beste van onze reis in Sri Lanka. Het is riant, er is elke ochtend een variëteit aan gerechten, alles smaakt goed (want het wordt vers bereid in het restaurant van dezelfde eigenaar). Maar bovenal proefden we elke dag andere klassieke Sri Lankaanse ontbijtgerechten, waaronder een heel aantal die we nergens anders tegen kwamen tijdens onze reis.

Het Gamodh Citadel Resort wordt omgeven door oude ruïnes en tempels en biedt u comfort en gezellig ingerichte accommodaties in de tuin of bij het zwembad. Staff were so helpful and considerate ,both the manager and the guy who served us at restaurant. They even managed to prepare us breakfast the days that we had to leave before breakfast time. Tours they offer also have the best price. Swimming pool was very beautiful and large. Breakfast is great especially oat pancakes with coconut filling
