Het personeel, 37 man voor 5 lodges was zeer vriendelijk, behulpzaam en bediende ons op zijn wenken. En het eten : kreeft oesters, vis, zo lekker, het ontbijt schitterend en bediend in onze lodge.We zijn nog maar weg en we missen het al. Fantastisch, een van onze topervaringen en ieder dollar/ euro en kenian shilling waard

The property was beautiful but did not have a functioning pool which was highlighted as the feature of the place.

Tembo Beach Cottage ligt in Malindi, op 3 minuten lopen van Malindi Beach en 36 km van Watamu National Marine Park, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi, airconditioning en een bar. Tembo Beach Cottage is a 15 minute drive from the airport, but not really walking distance from central Malindi. The cottage is part of a larger 'resort' with about 8-10 similar cottages around the pool and more short-term stays owned by locals or foreigners nearby. The area is secluded from the public with a manned gate and staff guarding the beach entrance. There larger complex area appears to be for events such as weddings, etc. Checkin was fairly straightforward, showing up at the gate, signing in, and telling the guards my room number and host name. The cottage itself was wonderful, clean, and comfortable. The shower was a little finicky with the hot water but I figured it out. The WiFi was fast and there is an internet TV. Besides the pool, the best part is the front, covered patio area perfect for breakfast or reading! Considered a beachfront property, it take about five minutes to walk through the compound and across the wide, public beach to the water. Get up early for a beautiful sunrise!
