I came to Okinawa to check Kaichu Doro kitesurfing location. It is more or less 20 minutes drive from Villa Awase which is very convenient for any kitesurfing location. At the premises, the rooms are all having balcony facing port side which could have been conveniently used as kite gear store/dry place. Own washing and drying machine were huge plus. I also rented cooking equipment and set and used it to cook some small dishes esp. breakfast - for the price is is a no brainer especially if you stay longer than lets say one night. Fridge + freezer, small cabinet under the sink. Top quality Japanese toilet and free toiletries makes this bath equipped room great retreat. The whole place is super functional, comfortable and meets arrangements. The location makes it also perfect place for fishing enthusiasts stays as port area is full with fisherman's everyday. Okinawa has got lot of place for fishing to explore. Also fishing restaurant is available with dishes made from local fish every day. Great convenience stores and supermarkets within walking, cycling or driving distance (used all three techniques - loved them all :) Awase area has got hidden seafront restaurant street you will eventually come across - I have never tried the food or drinks there but I could see people enjoy it. Staff was probably the most enthusiastic and friendly people I have ever met. Always helpful, approachable and overcoming language barrier with easiness. The place felt like home and natural retreat after long hours of exploration of Okinawa main and surrounding islands. North of the island is within 1+ hour driving distance - a lot of good hikes available. For beach goers - I think there is not a single beach within close vicinity (for swimming) but there are some super nice spots driving distance away (Mibaru, Kaichu Doro / Mid-Sea Road, Katsuren Haebaru,..) Quite nice is that quest comply with house rules and there is barely noice after 9 PM.

A 3-minute drive from Tropical Beach, Moon Ocean Ginowan features a fitness centre and a seasonal outdoor pool and hot tub. Amazing hotel. Room is spatious, with a living room, bedroom, and kitchen. Kitchenware and silverware are available upon request. Hotel is right next to a mall, a 24h supermarket, and a convenience store. We love the breakfast, and the buffet menu is different each day. The parking lot is large and no reservation is needed. Hotel staff members are also very friendly.

マリナベイToya ligt in Toya, dicht bij naar Strand van Sobe en op 3,2 km van Kasteel van Zakimi, en heeft een patio met de zee, een tuin en een terras. The house is wonderfully equipped with all the things one might need (tea, instant coffee, sugar/salt, even washing powder)! Every little detail is taken of, and I especially liked how they had covers for soft furniture that can be taken off and washed. The house is located right above the private little beach which we also enjoyed a lot. There are a few really good restaurants within the walking distance too. Honestly, there is absolutely nothing to complain, I wish we had time to stay longer. P.S. just a suggestion to the host, adding a message about a water hose outside might be a good idea :) we found it ourselves and it was super helpful when coming back home from the beach.

Bosco Yomitan Resort Condminium ligt in Yomitan in de regio Okinawa, dicht bij Strand Hanjapama en Murasakimura. De accommodatie biedt gratis WiFi, gratis privéparkeren en toegang tot een hot tub. Designer hotel right in the middle of Yomitan. Hard to find but worth discovering. Modern living right out of an architectural magazine with a private roof-top space to view the ocean in the distance. Wish we could have stayed longer. Washing machine and fully equipped kitchen came in handy. Staff responded quickly to inquiries.

Premium Villa Miyagi Island bevindt zich in Ikei, op 13 minuten lopen van Strand Tonnaha en 15 km van Busterminal van Yakena, en biedt een buitenzwembad en airconditioning. I loved the combination of having a pool, jacuzzi, and sauna. It was so relaxing. The view was beautiful and peaceful. The owner had a variety of drinks available in the fridge which was a welcoming surprise. Normally we only get bottled water. The beds were comfortable. We used the gas bbq grill, it was very easy to operate. The property felt clean and well taken care of. There is a very small beach during low tide but we didn’t go there due to Obon time.

SALTY HOUSE：海が目の前！ bevindt zich in Urasoe, en biedt een terras met uitzicht op de zee en de tuin, en een buitenzwembad, sauna en hot tub. The villa was wonderful. We were a group of six people from three generations, and we spent most of our time in the pool. Unlike hotel pools, we were able to use the pool freely without worrying about time or other people. There is also a private beach downstairs. There is a large shopping mall in Okinawa, near the villa, which is very convenient. It was only 1000 yen one way by taxi.　 If you walk a bit down the street and use an app., you can pick one up in no time. If it is not summer, you may take a walk. We were able to do most of our shopping here, including souvenirs. Naha Airport is about 30 minutes away by cab. The villa was very clean, and everything was of a high standard and pleasant. The host, Sammy, was very helpful, and communication was smooth. We were provided with an extra mattress for one child. We will visit again if we have the chance.
