Everything was exactly as described and the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The view from the hotel is gorgeous and it is only 5-6 minutes walk from Berchtesgaden train station. Spa is small but cozy and the breakfast is excellent.

There is also a thermal water spa centre with 6 pools and a sauna where guests can relax. The staff were very friendly and the spa was amazing. It was easy to find a place by yourself in the upstairs infinity pools. The physiotherapist was amazing and really helped my pain levels. The food was incredible. Plentiful and of a very high and tasty standard. A seven course dinner no less and included in half board. The hotel had free e-bikes to borrow and the town was set out so perfectly for riding around. You can ride over the bridge between Germany and Austria. There were many fitness activities you could sign up for like stretching and water aerobics. I had a wonderful time. I could have stayed there another week at least!

Right on the old town walls, this old school hotel ticked all the boxes. A magnificent room, a splendid breakfast with views and lovely hospitality. This is the only place to stay in Rothenburg. The location is also perfect, close to the top attractions in the city, making it easy to explore. Most of all, the incredible staff made our stay feel extra special. We’re already planning our next vacation to return here in the winter — can’t wait! Highly recommend for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway.
