Kitanova House is a gem! The staff were incredibly welcoming, always smiling and radiating warmth. The rooms were stunning — full of natural light, beautifully designed with charming folklore touches and just the right hint of modern art. It felt like a perfect blend of tradition and comfort. Breakfast was another highlight — homemade, delicious, and served with care. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy and authentic experience!

This place is an absolute gem. Our host George has been exceptional so far. He assisted us with directions before we arrived and met us with a smile to show us around the room and small spa facility which looks lovely, complete with jacuzzi, sauna, bathroom facilities and optional music. George also helped us out with ski hire from the shop next door, they provided a good price compared to other tourist trap ski hire shops. I would recommend not booking ski hire, etc online and speaking to your host at the apartments instead. He advised that we get the rechargeable ski pass which works out cheaper if you're here for a bit longer. He also gave us reccomendations for food and drink nearby and told us where to avoid. The room itself is lovely, massive windows let in loads of natural light. Comfortable bed. There's also a nice shared balcony overlooking the ski slopes, which brings me on to my next point. The location could not be any better, right across the road from the ski slopes with the ski hire shop right next door and countless food and drink spots within a stone's throw. There seem to be some negative reviews linked to the Google page for White Horse Apartments which are actually for a white horse restaurant which isn't operating anymore. Don't let it deter you. George was also telling us about the plans to further improve the amenities for the accommodation. I won't share the details but it will definitely be worth checking out. We've barely started our holiday here but already we know that we'll be back at some point. Edit after check out: tried to leave a tip for George's mum who cleans the rooms because we can be a bit messy and when we went to collect our bags I found the tip lying on top of the bags. Went to give it to George and they refused to accept it. If that doesn't say something then I don't know what does.

Hotel Nikol ligt in Dolna Banya, op 22 km van Gate of Trajan, en biedt accommodatie met een buitenzwembad, gratis privéparkeren, een fitnesscentrum en een tuin. Nice quiet position away from the main road through Dolna Banya. A reall excellent swimming pool and good spa facilities.

Stoichkovata Kashta Koprivshtitsa ligt in Koprivshtitsa en biedt een barbecue en uitzicht op de bergen. Locatie en vriendelijk personeel. Balkonnetje deed het ook erg goed bij ons.

Dona Guest House - Horse Riding is gelegen in Koprivshtitsa, op 9 minuten lopen van Todor Kableshkov Memorial House, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren en een terras. Alles was netjes afgewerkt en het ontbrak absolut niet aan comfort. Aan het rand van het dorp, mooie uitzicht, gastheer was super vriendelijke en verzorgde ons met alles wat er nodig was. Het ontbijt was heerlijk. Enige wat wij een beetje misten was een waterkoker op kamer. Zelfs kon je in de keuken koffie en thee zetten. Voor het comfort op kamer zelf zou het het absolute laatste puntje op het i kunnen zijn. Ik was ook nog nooit op een paard gezeten maar de gastheer heeft mij gewoon een uur lang op een paard door het bos meegenomen. Wat een mooie ervaring.
