We were greeted by the manager at the reception and she was just the kindest person we have ever met. Words really cannot describe how happy we are to have met such a wonderful person. Otherwise, everything about this property is just perfect. There's a jacuzzi outside with steam rooms, and a lobby that has a cozy fireplace. Very cozy place.

I’ve been in a long roadtrip in California through many hotels, and this is by far the best staff I’ve seen. From check-in to check-out, the service was super friendly and we felt really welcomed. The hotel is very convenient as a base for south CA1 or for those visiting the Hearst Castle. I loved this staying.

Great motel with a huge spacious room and lovely bathroom with products to use. One of the biggest beds I've slept in and very comfy pillows. Easy to find, easy check in and good parking facilities. It's right on the beach and super quiet too.

it’s was well situated for looking at the ocean and a lovely morning walk. breakfast came in a lovely basket so it could be taken to the beach if you wanted to. the pool area was lovely with a relaxing hot tub and fire pit areas. it’s a short drive or walk to the shops and restaurants

Fabulous room with a view, balcony, comfortable bed, gas fireplace, fancy bath tub and shower, mini-fridge, dining table and two lounge chairs. Everything was clean and the continental breakfast was nice. Great location - Sea Chest restaurant is next door, easy access boardwalk across the street, and further down the street - Moonstone Bar/Grill, and a wine tasting happy hour at Tooth and Nail. We appreciated the note left by management referencing our anniversary celebration, and all the staff were friendly and helpful.

Fabulous night stop. We were warmly welcomed and directed to our room, easy to drive your car to your room then walk back through the scenic gardens to the lodge. The room was was cosy as the fire was lit , bed very comfy and a reasonable size shower and bathroom area. The lodge has a lounge where we had a great tasty dinner , wonderful place to sit and relax too with big comfy sofa’s.. we had a great sing along with the talented musician. I would definitely recommend staying here, it’s a hidden gem.
