A Perfect Place for a Winter Getaway! I had the pleasure of staying at this charming guesthouse for a few days, and I am absolutely thrilled with my experience. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, always ensuring guests feel comfortable and well taken care of. The breakfasts were fantastic – a wide variety of fresh options to suit everyone's taste. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily, which added an extra level of comfort. A standout feature was the complimentary in-room mini bar, stocked daily with water, juices, and beer – such a thoughtful touch! Right behind the house, there’s a small hill with a free ski lift, perfect for beginner skiers or kids who want to enjoy skiing or sledding. It was a delightful and convenient option for some fun in the snow! The location is also a major plus – situated right next to a train station, making it easy to access, and just a short distance from proper ski slopes. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views that make it a true winter wonderland. Amazing Stay!!! The couple that run the hotel are kind and super friendly! They will take care of you! My room was very classic old with charm and very comfortable too! I had a wonderful view of the old village Filisur and the mountains! The outside eating area is so beautiful! Vines going everywhere and gorgeous views. The pizza and the Thai food are delicious! There are great hikes in all directions and one of them leads to the famous Landwasserviadukt! My hosts told me of a picturesque hike if I take the train to Davos-Monstein, then hike my way back to Filisur. It turned out to be the most Amazing Hike I've ever done in my life!!! There were many train bridges, waterfalls, snow capped peaks, and postcard perfect villages off in the distance! One of the most spectacular moments of the hike was walking over the super high Weisen Viaduct and then taking pictures of the train going over the bridge from various viewpoints! Thanks again for making my visit so very memorable! 😁

Very friendly host and interesting conversations. The plan was to stay for one night but they had so cute goats outside that our son just adored so we stayed a second night. If our Interrail pass had not expired soon and we needed to go back to Sweden we would have stayed another night. Churwalden has the longest rodelbahn in Switzerland. Don't miss that on your stay which is a 15 minute walk from the accommodation. I can also recommend a hike up on the mountain Fulenberg above the rodelbahn if you are trying out the rodelbahn and you will save your knees a little bit on the way down.

The cheapest single room in this region. Basic, but comfortable, fine. Quiet at night. The (excellent) breakfast normally starts at 8.30 am but they accepted to serve me at 8 am.
