Speak to us about making In Toto exclusively yours to reconnect with friends and family. Make a “braai” or a home made pizza while spending time around the large round table under the vines of our courtyard verandah. We strive to leave footprints that positively impact on the Garden Route for future visitors and generations. Our supplies are bought from local businesses, we use eco-detergents and products. We support local organisations actively working to improve our environment and local communities.

Enjoy an all-encompassing In Toto Stay in the Heart of the Garden Route. Located on the shores of the Swartvlei Lagoon in Sedgefield, our contemporary 6-room guest house is an ideal base to slow down, explore natural wonders, discover community markets or sign up for active adventures.

In Toto Retreat is located on the Island, Sedgefield, a quiet neighbourhood in the heart of the Garden Route on the banks of the Swartvlei Lagoon. Slow down next to our pool, soak up the sun and splash in the waves at the Swartvlei (6kms), Myoli (6kms), Cola (7kms) or Platbank beaches. Enjoy a sunset meal on the beach at Buffalo Bay (26 kms). Be immersed in nature and enjoy a hike in indigenous forests, through the Goukamma Nature Reserve. Take a leisurely bike ride around Rondevlei stopping at the three bird hides located in the Wilderness National Park. Form a friendship circle and give the 800-year-old Big Yellowwood Tree, just north of Hoekville, a friendship hug Meet local artists, artisans, farmers, chefs, crafters and storytellers at the popular Saturday Wild Oats Community Farmers Market, the Scarab Village Craft Market, Mosaic Village and Outdoor Market and Timberlake Village.
