Built in 1898, Nottingham Place is one of the oldest & most recognized homes in the town of Wise, steps away from downtown Main Street shopping, dining & near UVA-WISE. Free parking inside the stone wall with private guest entrance & large free parking lots nearby. Once inside, unlike most hotels, guests have the unique opportunity to use staircases from a bygone era - lightweight & small luggage recommended. The private 2nd floor foyer has a hospitality table with mini fridge, snacks, bottled water, wide slot toaster & Keurig pods for coffees, teas & cocoa. Bagels, breakfast bars & oatmeal provide a selection for continental breakfast. All guest rooms have microwaves, mini fridges & Keurigs. There is a glass top round table - an elegant area for remote work, reading or playing cards. Plenty of books & DVDs are kept in the tan bench alongside the round table. Both the bedroom & entrance doors have digital locks. Guests receive an exclusive 4 digit code. 12 foot ceiling, Heavenly Bed king mattress bed, 2 royal tables w/lamps, 2 tall windows, sofa chairs, tufted storage bench, credenza, closet, flat screen tv w/ Roku for Amazon Prime, DVD player, WIFI. The Queens Chamber includes a living area with 55" flat screen Roku TV, sofa, chairs, tables & lamps, and a spotlessly clean private bathroom with shower. Guests enjoy use of the spacious front porch with white columns - a luxurious oasis amidst the cozy town of Wise. Message hosts to reserve all 3 guest rooms - the entire 2nd floor (up to 6) or 2 adults and 1 child 10 & older are permitted in each guest room. No smoking or vaping on premises. Welcome to our home! We hope you enjoy your visit as much as we enjoy hosting your stay. I work in education & theatre & my wife is a retired professional actress. We traveled across the US & abroad while working together in touring theatre so we are very excited to have visitors joining us in our small town. We live on the main floor with our friendly indoor cats. Nottingham Place offers 3 private guest rooms, booked separately or together, on the 2nd floor. The Queens Chamber (this reservation) & Turret Room are listed separately on this site. Not listed on this site but available to reserve is the Victorian Spa EnSuite with king bed, Jacuzzi tub and Fiat steam shower is available to reserve directly. Whether your visit includes sightseeing, romance, relaxation, graduation, special events or work, we hope you find Nottingham Place to be as special as we do.
