The house will enchant you with its homeliness, furniture adorned with hunting motifs, pictures depicting nature and animals, and its special feature, the owner's trophy of a brown bear. From the very beginning, we have enjoyed spoiling our guests with new and imaginative seasonal delights prepared from ingredients sourced from our surroundings (porcini mushrooms, blueberries, wild garlic, etc.). We pay special attention to traditional Slovenian food with a touch of modernity. The name for our house was offered by nature itself – Zaplata – an oasis of forest, nestled amidst meadows and pastures on the slope of Grintovec. You'll be able to observe it from our summer garden. Its unusual distinctiveness still captivates people's imagination. There's even a folktale about the origin of this forest in the middle of a mountain pasture, which you can inquire about when you visit us. Below, you can meet our team, who ensures that every guest feels at home and, of course, eagerly returns on the next occasion.
Hotel Oskar Zaplata is owned by travel agency Oskar, who also owns a lodge Tičarjev dom on Vršič pass and a cottage by Soča spring - Koča pri izviru Soče. We are a connected team full of positive energy! We hope to give every single visitor amazing, warm and relaxing stay in Hotel Oskar Zaplata.
In our immediate vicinity, there are several beautiful summers hiking destinations, ranging from easy walks to very challenging climbing spots. In the winter, just a stone's throw away, is also one of the most famous ski resorts, Krvavec, which offers excellent skiing opportunities even for more demanding skiers.
