Enjoy the peace & quiet, comfort & relaxing surroundings, with a short walk to the beach & nearby walking tracks. There's easy access to the property, with plenty of free parking. We provide your 1st breakfast - free range eggs, bread, butter, fresh milk, some spreads, cereal, tea, coffee. We have a young chocolate Labrador (Mocha), a cat (Sparky) & 5 x chickens (un-named). Mocha will give you an enthusiastic welcome on arrival. She's very friendly & has been raised with our 2 x granddaughters, so she loves children. You can enter the accommodation via the garage or the back door. If it's raining, we suggest you use the backdoor to enter, then open the garage to unload your bags etc. You're welcome to use the BBQ & BBQ tables - 1 x at the bottom of the garden & 1 x up the stairs by the back door. The children are welcome to use the trampoline, the small climbing frame, the scooter & small bike. There's also lots of grass for them to run around in. We have very fast Wi-Fi - at 312 Mbps, you can take video calls and stream videos for your whole group.
Karen & Vern are your hosts & we live upstairs. We've travelled extensively & have lots of knowledge about Whangarei & Northland. We can also help with any information about travelling throughout New Zealand. Karen owns a Women's fashion store in Dargaville & is an avid gardener. Vern's retired & is a keen golfer & fisherman.
We're 10 x minutes from the Whangarei Town Basin, which has lots of cafe's, restaurants & playgrounds, with an excellent 4.5 km walk around the basin. The Town Basin is also home to The World Famous Hundertwasser Art Centre - a MUST see! We're very handy to lots of local places - 5 x minutes from the airport, it's 2 x minute walk to Waikaraka Beach & a 20-30 minute drive to some of the best East Coast beaches in Northland.
