Welcome to my charming thatch-roofed studio flat — a quirky, character-filled 40 m² open-plan space that blends rustic African warmth with a touch of the exotic. The studio’s unique décor features a beautiful Chinese screen, South-West inspired painted cattle skulls, and natural textures that create a one-of-a-kind atmosphere full of personality. The open layout includes a comfortable sleeping area, cozy lounge corner, and a well-equipped kitchenette for preparing light meals. A separate WC adds to your privacy and comfort. Step outside into a lush garden paradise, where you can relax under the trees, read a book, or enjoy an evening barbecue in the braai area tucked away at the bottom of the garden — a perfect spot to unwind after a day exploring the city. You’ll have a wonderful view of the Heinitzburg Hotel right from the studio. It’s just a short 500 m stroll around the corner, where you can enjoy a sundowner on the terrace while watching Namibia’s breathtaking sunsets. The location couldn’t be better — restaurants within 1 to 4 km, a shopping centre only 1.1 km away, and the city centre just 1.7 km from your doorstep. Ideal for solo travellers or couples, this cozy hideaway offers Wi-Fi, secure parking, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. John-Lou's Self-catering Accommodation is run by Louisa since December, 2018. I love sharing my cozy thatch-roofed studio with travelers from all over the world and from all walks of life. I am a keen gardener and also love painting and hiding small surprises in the garden for the guests to discover. I want you to leave with a happy heart and a smile on your face, looking forward to your next stay at my establishment. I live on the property and am always happy to help if you need anything — whether it’s tips on where to eat, places to explore, or just a friendly chat about Windhoek life. Studio Flat is located in Windhoek, a 10-minute walk from Maerua Mall. The Heinitzburg Castle, which is now a boutique hotel and restaurant, is situated 500m from the property and is the ideal place to sip on a sundowner on the terrace and to watch our beautiful sunsets. Restaurants within 1 to 4 km, a shopping centre only 1.1 km away, and the city centre just 1.7 km from your doorstep
