At 2000 meters, Passo Rolle is one of the most spectacular passes in the Dolomites. Located at 1,980 meters above sea level, the Passo Rolle pass connects San Martino di Castrozza with the other valleys of the Dolomites. The town consists of a small inhabited center with some hotels, restaurants, bars and shops at the foot of the magnificent Pale di San Martino amphitheater, the southwestern gateway to the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The area, dominated by the unmistakable profile of the Cimon della Pala (3,186 m), is in summer an excellent starting point for walks, excursions and mountain bike rides. Among the most famous destinations we remember the beautiful Val Venegia, the lakes of Colbricon and the Cristo Pensante, reachable along the homonymous trekking.
