Tenuta Vallelunga was born from Harry Bracci Torsi's, an entrepreneur from Pisa, passion for hunting and for horses. He bought Vallelunga to make it a game preserve. Fascinated by its intact environment made of low hills covered by thick woods crossed by green valleys and the farm at his center, Harry bought the estate in the 1950's to use it as the family’s hunting estate. He created a lake, renovated the farm to host horses and cows and a modern henhouse. The property owes its name to the long valley (Vallelunga) stretching itself across the entire property. In the 2000’s the family fully restored and refurnished the farmhouses maintaining the original materials and opened them for tourist accommodation. The lush, magnificent environment of oaks, pines, holm oaks, elms and the many path to jog, horse ride and hike is the perfect frame for the Agriturismo with his horse riding school, the lake and the reception (David’s the caretaker house). The Tenuta is still a game preserve in Autumn and a farm growing corn and olive groves. its flora and fauna includes wild boars, porcupines, foxes, squirrels, roe deers, mouflons, or birds such as pheasants, wild ducks and wood pigeons.
