Property information

Ghan House is a fully restored Georgian House with 3 acres of walled gardens within a treelength of Medieval Carlingford. All double beds are Queen size or larger. All double & twin bedrooms have bath & power shower en-suite and mountain views. Free Wi-fi. All TV's are flatscreen 'Smart' multichannel TV's and are 32" or bigger. 2AA Rosette restaurant - advisable to book in advance - when you book your bedroom - closed Mondays & most Tuesdays. Log fires. Dublin & Belfast are just a one hour drive.

Neighbourhood information

Medieval Carlingford on our doorstep - with castles, old town gate, Dominican Friory, medieval laneways & wall, harbour & Slieve Foy mountain. Seashore & mountain walks. Carlingford Greenway - amazing walk/cycle/pram/wheelchair along the side of Carlingford Lough - with gorgeous views & safety away from the road. Dublin 1 hr. Belfast 1 hr, with Titanic museum. 2 UNESCO World Heritage Sites within an easy 1/2 day/day trip; - 5,000 yr old burial chambers at Newgrange & Knowth, 45 mins drive - The amazing Giant's Causeway - 135 mins drive Trim & Trim Castle - 50mins. Monasterboice round tower & Celtic crosses - 35 mins Mesmeric Mourne Mountains - a short ferry journey - 30 mins.
