Our detached house, Villa Boric, has a beautiful view over the sea. Sunset is a must see! The house is surrounded with a lovely garden with olive and fig trees. The sea is only 50 meters away. You can walk along the waterfront to the city center of Stari Grad - this enjoyable stroll takes about 10 minutes. Please note that the whole house and garden are at your disposal except for the garage (parking place is available in front of the house!). There are no other guests/owners at the property.

We are Darko and Heleen, married with two adult children. We live and work in the south of the Netherlands. We have spent many lovely holidays on the island. We like to rent a boat and go to distant beaches where we swim and read all day. In recent years we also enjoy mountain biking surrounding hills. When we return we like to go to picturesque restaurants in medieval towns of Stari Grad, Hvar or Jelsa. Cooking at home and enjoying a nice dinner in our beautiful garden surrounded by olive trees is of course a good alternative.

Stari Grad is located on the island of Hvar, one of the jewels of the Adriatic coast. The best way to experience the site is along the walking or cycling paths that wind past the fields and farmhouses. During the harvest season, the smell of young grapes fills the air and the autumnal colors of the trees and vines swirl with the deep blue of the sea in the background. At agritourism sites along the way, you can stop to taste the local products, meters from where it was grown. In the town of Stari Grad, the oldest city in Croatia, stone houses line streets that lead to beautiful public squares. Colonised by Ionian Greeks in the 4th century BC, this Croatian island's landscape, near the town of Stari Grad, has remained practically intact ever since. Stone houses framed by the Adriatic Sea are nestled in rolling hills of vineyards and olive orchards, which are divided in plots—bordered by limestone rocks—constructed more than 2,400 years ago. A model for European farming, the site provides travellers an opportunity to experience authentic local culture and cuisine.
