A luxury 3-floor stone villa with a large private swimming pool, the perfect escape for your serene holiday. Aloni House comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests as it features 5 ensuite bedrooms & several indoor and outdoor sitting areas within a beautiful mature garden & olive grove, it will offer you magnificent views across the Aegean Sea and the White Mountains of Crete. Totally private and secluded while just 15min walking away from charming Kournas village, with many authentic taverns and shops. Inside the house you will find an information book with many useful tips, suggestions and recommendations for day trips and activities, as well all the info you need in case of emergencies. If there is anything specific you require, we are more than happy to help you.
We speak English fluently, so there will be no problems in regards to communication.
Kournas is a pretty traditional mountain village 1km from Aloni House and about 4 km from Lake Kournas. Kournas village is completely unaffected by tourism and takes visitors on a journey back in time, as do many villages in the interior of Crete. The old houses, the village square, the pottery workshop opposite the large kafeneio and Agapinakis's taverna "Kali Kardia", with its wonderful salads and delicious meat, are the first things you will notice in the village of Kournas. The house is located 30min drive from Chania and Rethymnon! Car hire is essential and it is best to hire your car from of the many car hire offices at the airport (ideally you should arrange this in advance of your travel dates). We can arrange a taxi transfer from the airport to bring you safe to Aloni House on your arrival if you wish.
