Public rooms are designed for use and enjoyment. We create thoughtful, original ideas by being aware of you the guest and above all question – who is this for and what do they want? The Metropolitan Bed and Breakfast re-opened in July 2019 and prides itself on cleanliness, comfort and customer service. We provide boutique styled en-suite accommodation , Situated on the quiet street of Esplanade, an area of Whitley Bay, only a few hundred metres away from the award-winning beach, and a very short walk in to the town centre where you will find bars, restaurants and the Whitley Bay Spanish City.

Whitley Bay is a popular place for recreation and is regularly used by locals, tourists, walkers and cyclists alike. We love our local area and you will find a wide selection of independent shops, bars and food establishments all on the doorstep. We have an independent cinema and theatre. There are beautiful walks where you can explore the North East coast with Cullercoats and Tynemouth very close by. In addition we are the Gateway to Northumberland.
