The Little Courtyard is a minute from one of Penzance’s principal shopping streets lined with gift shops, galleries, jewellers and organic foods. Nearby are some dozen restaurants, cafes, a cinema and an electric bike pick up point. Pubs, pasties and fish and chips are on the doorstep. Close by are Penlee Park with its art gallery and summertime alfresco evening events and subtropical Morrab Gardens with its beautiful independent library. Jubilee Pool on the sea front, is the UK's largest art deco sea water lido and geothermally heated pool. At the harbour you can take scenic or fishing boat trips. From the bus station you can take one of England’s most spectacular open top bus trips, taking in rugged coastlines and mining heritage sites. There is also the coastal footpath to Marazion and St Michael’s Mount. The Scilly Isles can be reached by boat, helicopter or plane. The National Trust’s Trengwainton Gardens and Trewidden Gardens, with its wonderful tree fern walk, are only a short drive. Polgoon Vineyard is on the edge of town where you can enjoy wine and cider tasting. St. Ives, Lands End and the sandy beaches of Porthcurno, Sennen and Gwenver are half an hour’s drive.
