This award-winning Victorian guest house offers 4-star accommodations and free on-site parking for all guests, just 15 minutes’ walk from York University. A delicious breakfast is provided each morning, and there is free Wi-Fi throughout the building. A picturesque, 20-minute stroll along the river will take you to the historic city center, and York Racecourse is just a mile from Midway House. York Minster, the Jorvik Viking Center and the famous Shambles are a short walk or 5-minute bus journey away. Rooms at Midway House are bright and individually decorated, and all offer private bathrooms, except one, which has a shared bathroom. Every room has a flat-screen TV and free tea and coffee making facilities. Midway House has a large and sunny dining room, and a residents’ lounge, which has comfortable seating and a TV.

Midway House is exactly half way between London and Edinburgh and is sited on the old coaching road between these two cities. It is a detached Victorian Villa and provides excellent accommodation. We have a private on site car park.
