The Limeworks boasts two beautifully crafted holiday cottages - The Granary and The Hemmel - nestled in the serene countryside of North Northumberland. Collaborating with talented architects and skilled local craftsmen, these exceptional properties opened their doors in 2024. Tucked away within the picturesque grounds of Hetton Limeworks—a 13-acre former farm—guests can explore a tranquil setting featuring a wildflower meadow, a peaceful lake, and enchanting woodlands.
We’re Katie & James and we moved to Northumberland from London in 2019, coming back to James’s home county to build a new life. We welcomed our dog, Hamish and our son, Arthur to the family in 2020 and started the renovation of The Limeworks farm buildings in the same year. We’re very proud of what we have created, and we love welcoming new people to join us at The Limeworks.
From vast, windswept beaches to the wild, rolling hills and everything in between, Northumberland is brimming with hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Whether you're seeking a peaceful escape or an adventure in nature, this region offers something truly special.
