Honeysuckle is a cute off grid shepherds hut, set within 7 acres which is surrounded on all side by fields and forests. Our site is off grid, there is no electricity there at all, so you are provided with charged lights and power bank for phone charging and there is a wood burner inside for keeping warm in winter. There is a bedroom with a double bed and in the main area, a single bed and optional zbed, so sleeps 2 adults and 2 children, or 3 adults comfortably. Everything you need is provided, there is bedding for the number booked, all cooking and eating utensils, cleaning equipment; trug, cloth, teatowel and spray, had wash, wash-up liquid; water holder, kettle, stove (outside on the picnic table). There are also a few books and games.

Hi I'm Tilly, the owner of Blean Bees Glamping, I've owned the land since 2006 and am keen on improving the local environment. I have a few helpers during busy times in the summer and we love to ensure everyone enjoys their time here and has everything they need. On the land I also keep bees and grow edible plants and In my spare time I like to hang out with Honey the horse, or my collie dog and also do photography.

We are very fortunate to be located in a special landscape area, which is predominantly woodland and fields near by, but also are very close to the town of Whitstable (5 miles away), which has lots of lovely shops, bars and restaurants and a harbour and beach. Canterbury is also 5 miles away (you can even walk or cycle there through the woods nearby) with its famous beautiful Cathedral and shops, Marlowe theatre, shops and river Stour and Faversham is about 8 miles away and has lovely quaint cafe's and antique shops and the creek and access to the Saxon Shore way. There are many zoo's in Kent, Wildwood, Port Lymph, Howletts, Wingham wildlife. Canoe wild is only 20 min drive away and hires out canoes and paddle boards which you can take along the stunning river Stour. There are several old country pubs within a short drive, in one of the picturesque local villages of Boughton-under-Blean or Hernhill and Dargate. If you fancy a sandy beach, there's Minnis Bay, 25 min drive or Margate, 30min drive, which also has The Turner art Gallery, which is well worth a visit.
