We are in the heart of Cheselbourne, west Dorset. The property offers 2 bedrooms, a king size room and a twin room with a large bathroom with bath & separate shower. You also have your own lounge/diner in the guest suite, with comfortable corner seating, a dining table and TV along with a selection of books and games. The kitchenette comprises of a washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, 10 Litre double draw air fryer, microwave, kettle and toaster. Although we do not offer a cooked breakfast we supply you with the breakfast basics, of bread, butter (or spread*), jam, cereal variety packs, orange juice, bottled water, tea, coffee, sugar & milk (VEGAN options also available on request) and if you are with us for a few days will top these up for you if you would like us to. The guest suite is on the ground floor within the main property, but please note there are a few outside steps up to the front door and inside there are 4 steps up to the main bedroom and bathroom. The guest suite is entered through the main front door which you will have exclusive use of, and a front door key will be left in the key safe. Details of this will be sent to you prior to your arrival.. The guest suite/apartment is separated from the main house by a locked internal door.

We make sure that we have plenty of local information in our booklet and have a variety of leaflets for attractions in the area. The lounge is very relaxing and cool in the summer months where you can chill out on the comfy corner sofa and watch TV or we have a selection of books to read or games to play.
Cheselbourne is a small village nestled in the hills just north of Dorchester in the heart of west Dorset. We are just 30 minutes drive from the award winning beaches of Weymouth, or the start of the Jurassic coast ! For the young and young at heart, the renowned Monkey world is 20 minutes drive away, along with Bovington tank museum. West Dorset abounds with history and pre history, from the chalk giant at Cerne Abbas, to the village of Milton Abbas designed by Capability Brown and built in 1780. Our church in Cheselbourne has the south arcade dating back to 1280, with later additions in the 14th and 15th centuries. Just inside the church grounds you will find the grave of Anna Riggs, 1701 to 1777. Anna was the local witch, and was caught by the witch finder general, and put to death on February 2nd 1777 on the ducking stool at Puddle town. She resided at Carriers cottage - next door to Domus Alba ! There is an abundance of local walks, both long and short, taking in the history and scenery of this beautiful part of the country, or cycling if you prefer.
