Company info

Ed and Louise are a brother and sister team from the UK. They both have experience in the hosting trade and offer a superb bed and breakfast for your pleasure. The house is beautiful, the village charming and Ed and Louise are welcoming and determined you will have a wonderful stay. They are always available and at your service. We came to France in 2017 having been involved in the pub and club trade. It was time for a more relaxing way of life and we decided to come to South-west France to open a chambre d'hôtes. The renovation of this 1865 townhouse was hard work, of course, but we managed to complete it in record time and open our doors. We have been overwhelmed by the wonderful people who have stayed with us during the last couple of years. Truly everyone has been fantastic. We have enjoyed every minute. The house is renovated with your comfort in mind and we hope that you will enjoy our attention to detail and feel that this is a home from home. The river flows beside the house and provides a piece of natural background music to keep you feeling calm and tranquil. Our aim is that when you leave us you want to come back.

Neighborhood info

Cierp-Gaud has many amenities, a fantastic boulangerie, a bar, an excellent pizzeria (Lou Castau), a lively cafe, florist, barber, hairdresser, Intermarche with 24hr fuel and launderette, mechanics, doctor, dentist, optician. This is all within walking distance of the house. The village is really pretty. The Mairie is in an old chateau and is a set of beautiful steps leading up to the church (L'Eglise Notre Dame). Campanula covers the walls in the summer and the village is full of stunning geraniums. There is a beautifully kept park in front of the Marie, with enormous fir trees and places to sit and be quiet. There are lots of little back roads to explore and a good size sports field. Fishing is also a big pastime either in the River Pique or one of the local lakes. A path through houses at the edge of the village takes you onto the towpath beside the Pique and you can follow it all the way to the point where it flows into the main river La Garonne. There is an excellent bus service running to Luchon or Montréjeau. Luchon is about 15km away and has an equestrian centre, ski slopes, many restaurants and shops, gliding, paragliding, and bike hire. 18km and you can be in Spain.
