Your hosts Jane and John like to make our guests feel at home with a relaxed atmosphere and a home from home stay and after a long journey you can help yourself to coffee, tea or a cold drink from the guest kitchenette. We both enjoy meeting people and having a chat but we also know that sometimes a little tranquility and relaxation is appreciated after a long day.

Le Chene Vert is spacious barn conversion just outside of the village of Millac on the D11, 6 kilometres from L'Isle Jourdain with its outstanding viaduct over the Vienne and only 10 minutes drive to the very well known Circuit du Val de Vienne where many exciting motoring and bike events take place including Ferrari 500 and Porsche weekends. We have a beautiful large garden, covered terrace and patio. There are 5 comfortable bedrooms all with large airy en-suite shower rooms, including a family suite and a downstairs bedroom with roll-in shower for our wheelchair using guests. The traditionally decorated breakfast/dining area has ramp access into the large and welcoming guest lounge which leads out onto the terrace, patio and garden (all wheelchair accessible). There is plenty of parking at Le Chene Vert with a lockable garage which can house a number of bikes/motorbikes. Le Chene Vert is in a beautiful and peaceful country setting and guests can enjoy a stay visiting the many attractions in the area or just relax on the terrace/patio taking in the sun or sitting in the shade, we are also well located for trips en-route to or from the South.

There are plenty of lovely villages and small towns to visit in the this beautiful area of France along with museums, the Circuit du Val de Vienne and various other attractions and in the summer months L'Isle Jourdain you join in or just watch the bungee jumping, zip wire or canoeing. Markets are held regularly in the area and the grand towns of Poitiers and Limoges are just a 50 minute drive with their many shops and pedestrian areas.
