The Modern Design Studio is in a historic residential area downtown only 10 minutes walking distance from Toronto's main north / south artery, Yonge Street. The guest suite was completely renovated in the summer of 2015 with a Scandinavian design sensibility. It's warm, modern, bright, well laid out and inviting.

I'm a caterer and event planner and by extension looking after guests is a pleasure that comes naturally. I'm glad to share suggestions on places I love most in the city including; different neighborhoods, restaurants, pubs and even places off the beaten track.

The name Cabbagetown comes from the Irish immigrants who originally settled here, many of them grew cabbages in their front lawns. Today the neighborhood is well known for it's well preserved Victorian era brick homes. This peaceful residential area downtown has great parks, bike trails, coffee shops, restaurants, pubs as well as good grocery stores.. The College Streetcar line is 1/2 a block away and 2 main subway lines are within 10 minutes walking distance from the accommodation.
