Once you step through the entrance of the 19th-century house, you will enjoy an imposing staircase, high ceilings, spacious rooms decorated in a quirky and inspiring style.
Hi, I'm Sandra, mother of two sons who are always available to help and meet interesting people. Besides managing our Boutique B&B Maison Mielou, I'm a strategic business manager, involved in international food business, working with a partner in the USA. On moments that I'm not working, creating art is bringing balance in my life. I'm always happy to tell you more about that or to show you around in my atelier. I love to live in Gent, which is a great city with history, nature, nice creative people, open minded and always willing to help tourists to discover the secret places of our secret... Sssssst ! Don't tell... ask about it and I will show you the most remarkable small details of our neighborhood.
Maison Mielou is set in a calm Ghent suburb: Sint Amandsberg, just a short walk (700m) from the city center and the historical district. The local neighborhood has everything you need in walking distance, a supermarket, an amazing bakery, parks, launderettes, bars, even a gym and a subtropical swimming pool. We have two historical places of which one is protected as Unesco Heritage Landmark.
