Stunning views overlooking Swan Bay - 250m to surf beach-pet friendly and fenced As well as views to Churchill Island and Bass Hills, Lazy bird's Getaway is 250m to the ocean beach, ideal for surfing or long walks – turn right out of the drive and it’s at the end of the street. Note: access to these beaches is by steps (no ramps). Fully enclosed private garden, close to bottle shop, takeaway coffee, icecream, pizza and bus stop. Surf Beach is the home of millions of migratory Shearwaters which nest from September to April in the sand dunes at Surf Beach - you can witness their arrival each night on dusk where the sky is filled with thousands of birds returning to their nest. Lazy Birds Getaway is on a large shared block with a small cottage in front, each house has two car park spaces. Lazybird's Getaway offers 3 x QS bedrooms, 2 x bathrooms, 2 x lounge areas, table tennis, bbq and outdoor setting on upstairs deck. Master bedroom opens onto the deck so you can absorb the view. Bocce, monopoly, sorry, cards, backgammon are available
Welcome to Lazybirds Getaway at Surf Beach. Located in the middle of the Island, it's ideally situated half way between San Remo and Cowes. We built this home as a holiday house, eventually moving full time 13 years ago as we both love the surf, beach and the local community and natural environment. We are now happy to offer the house to visitors who enjoy getting away from the crowds to relax and enjoy what Surf Beach has to offer. The sunrises over Swan Bay and Churchill Island can be stunning as are the moon sets. We hope you will love staying at our home.
The best part about Surf Beach is that it's located in the middle of the island, half way between Cowes and San Remo, so you are away from the crowds and traffic. The ocean beach is my happy place for the views, sunsets, surfing, walking and of course our amazing crazybirds - short tailed shearwaters - that nest here from September to April before heading off to Siberia in the winter.
