Marcoola is a quiet, laidback neighbourhood of the Sunshine Coast, tucked away from the touristy hot spots but still close enough to feel like part of the action (10 minutes drive from Coolum and Maroochydore, and 25 minutes drive to Noosa). Known locally for its excellent surf and dog-friendly beaches, you won't be bothered by crowds or have to hustle for a spot on the beach. The house is well located just off David Low Way, across the road from buzzy cafes and shops such as Bobbi Lane and Cuba St Coffee, and Friday night markets and Saturday farmers markets. Within walking distance is also Surf Air restaurant for family meals (10 minute walk or 3 minute drive). The closest shopping precinct (3.5km away) is Mount Coolum, with an IGA supermarket, bottle shop, cafe, fish and chip shop and excellent restaurant Bao Down (locals top pick!). The larger town of Coolum is 3.5km away and has restaurants, shops (including a large Coles supermarket) and an excellent Surf Club for family meals. Sunshine Plaza, the Sunshine Coast's premier shopping mall, is 15 minutes away by car, where you'll find David Jones, Myer, Kmart and many other gorgeous boutiques, retailers and restaurants.
