About this property

Family-run since 1686, this farmhouse in Altenmarkt features a large garden with farm animals, a petting zoo, and an outdoor pool. Bicycles can be hired free of charge, and WiFi is also for free. The Arnoldgut’s spacious, rustically furnished apartments feature a balcony overlooking the Enns Valley, as well as cable TV, a seating area, and a kitchenette with a dining area. An infrared cabin is available in every apartment. Guests of Appartement Arnoldgut can play table tennis and tabletop football, and use the barbecue facilities in the garden. Horse riding is available on a neighbouring farm. Children can enjoy a large playground with a trampoline and help the owners feed and milk the cows in the morning. In winter, ski storage facilities are available, and a cross-country ski run is right outside the Arnoldgut Appartement. The Zauchensee ski area is 10 km away. Our parents started renting out rooms in the 1970s and it has been possible to spend holidays on our farm ever since. When we took over the business in 1999, we also set ourselves the goal of tackling all improvements.

Arnoldgut in summer: An eventful, nature-loving and exciting vacation with everything you could wish for on a farm awaits our children - the parents can look forward to rest and relaxation. The Arnoldgut is the starting point for fantastic family hikes and numerous bike tours. Directly with us in Altenmarkt is also the Erlebnistherme Amadé. In our region there are countless excursion destinations to discover, such as the Geisterberg, Grafenberg or the world's largest Eisriesenwelt. Arnoldgut in winter: While the naturally grown valley town of Altenmarkt in SalzburgerLand inspires with a cozy-familiar ski area, Zauchensee at 1,350 meters above sea level surrounded by mountains shows itself sporty-sophisticated with the highest comfort and pure nature. The World Cup resort of Zauchensee with the Zauchensee-Flachauwinkl ski area is the highest and thus most snow-sure place in the Salzburg Sport World until well into spring. It offers skiing fun at its best on 65 kilometers of slopes and with 25 lifts. In addition, our beautiful Erbhof is located directly on the 260km large cross-country ski trail network in the Salzburg Sport World.

Neighbourhood information

We are located directly on the Enns cycle path and close to the Amadé adventure spa and the village centre. Starting point for many hiking and leisure activities, alpine pastures and mountain bike tours. Directly on the cross-country ski trail and just a few minutes by car from the ‘Ski Amadé’ ski paradise. Close by are two of our popular toboggan runs.
