I loved my stay at the Sixth Sense, the only problem was that I spent only one night! Is perfect if you're looking to stay in a chilled out hostel where everyone is mindful of each other, quiet and considerate. Sam, the owner, is such an awesome guy and will help you out with anything you need. This would be one of the only hostels really giving back to the community around it, and trying to do things here in Sri Lanka the 'right' way. Hope to be back here in the future!

The hostel also features free WiFi as well as a paid airport shuttle service. Lovely hostel out in nature! The family is very nice and makes you feel so welcome. Activities and good food! Hardly recommend :)

Ideally located in the centre of Galle, Tanty’s Hostel offers free WiFi, a garden and free private parking for guests who drive. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and a shared lounge for guests. I stayed there for 2 nights in April 2025 and had a lovely time there. The beds are comfortable in a big dorm with individual ventilators, mosquito nets, and cupboards. In addition, there are many common facilities including a very big and fully equipped kitchen. At walking distance, there are restaurants, a beach, and a supermarket to get some groceries. Galle's station is 10 minutes away with PickMe/Uber. Highly recommend it.

Perfect place to stay for a couple of nights or even weeks. Situated 2km away from the beach is the perfect location to chill and explore the surroundings. The hostel is in front of a beautiful lake where you can take a kayak or a small boat and navigate the water. The structure has a beautiful kitchen where you can prepare your meals and the spacious single rooms are ideal for a nice rest. The staff are doing a good job by maintaining the hostel in great condition, also they are very helpful with information and giving you the feeling of being in a family environment!

A very welcoming and completely renovated property surrounded by greenery, very close to "Jungle Beach," a unique experience that immerses you in the true culture of Sri Lanka. Although the hostel is not currently on Google Maps, and therefore difficult to find, there is a Tuc Tuc service offered by the host who will take you from the first hostel, "Oops," to "Hanuman Heights"! Very nice! Definitely an experience to try at least once in your life.
