Well equipped kitchen, beautiful common area, really friendly employees, bike rental (for 6$), everything in town is in close walking distance. I didn’t even mind to share the room with 7 others because there are toilets and showers outside in addition to the room’s bathroom.

Plus, the natural surroundings draw you in, with two friendly pets and plenty of open spaces to enjoy a getaway from the city and breathe fresh air. It's my favorite spot in Puerto Viejo. I arrived as a guest and left as a friend.

At Chinitas Eco Lodge the rooms come with air conditioning and a safety deposit box. The hostess Anna Rita was very helpful and went above and beyond in assisting us when a family member got sick. She took exceptional care of all of us ? assisting us with everything we needed. Their guide Owen was very helpful too, assisting us with our medical needs and taking care of us by talking to the doctor and even bringing us medication. He was very knowledgeable and did a phenomenal job showing us the local wildlife during our tour. Ana Rita and Owen were truly amazing and we appreciate all they did to make our stay very enjoyable and comfortable.
