The room was clean and had everything I needed. The reception staff were both kind and responsive. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Chengdu.

Het Teddy Bear Hotel wordt sterk aanbevolen door de Lonely Planet-gids, en ligt op 5 minuten lopen van de berg Emei Shan. Mooie , ruime kamers met propere badkamers.

Emma's Guesthouse is voorzien van gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie en kamers met airconditioning in Songpan. Deze accommodatie heeft familiekamers en een zonneterras. Emma's guesthouse ligt in het prachtige Songpan omringd door bergen. Vanaf het moment dat ik hier als solo reiziger binnen stapte voelde ik me thuis. Niet alleen door de warme en gezellige aankleding van het guesthouse maar ook door de vriendelijkheid van Emma, haar zus en de chef. Ze zorgde er voor dat ik me meteen welkom voelde, hielpen me met het plannen van mijn reizen naar Huanglong en jiuzhaigou national parc en zorgde dat ik niks te kort kwam. Het ligt op slechts een paar minuten lopen van het busstation, de hoofdstraat en het centrum waar van alles te doen is. Het is een prachtig klein sfeervol dorpje weg van de drukte van Chengdu. Het eten was heerlijk, de bedden waren fijn en er waren genoeg dekens (en een elektrische) om snachts warm te blijven. Dit is zo'n plek waar je heen gaat zonder verwachtingen en langer blijft dan gepland. Bedankt Emma en de rest voor een super verblijf!

Chengdu Lazybones Hostel Templeside Poshpacker ligt in het district Jinniu in Chengdu, op 700 meter van het Wenshu-klooster. I stayed in a mixed dorm for about 5 nights in July 2025. The room had a private bathroom, which I shared with my roommates. It mostly wasn't any issue regarding bumping into each other in the bathroom. The room itself is quite spacy, provides a locker and also has an AC, which the guests can regulate. The laundry room offeres two washing machines, a dryer as well as many hanging racks. The washing machine and the dryer are able to be paid by Wechat (as well as the washing machine seems to work with coins as well.) The costs for one washing load comes to 11¥. When you enter the hotel, which was very easy to find caused by providing an accurate adress, you will find the reception on the left. The lobby itself has a Cafe vibe over day and turned to a bar at night (which allowes smoking during this time.). I am a non smoker and was worried about this before, but it actually never was that intense, so even didn't bother. The hotel also offers several trips to hot spots, you might consider. The only down side is, that for most of them you would need to sign up for two people (also possible with other guess). Regarding the service, I definitely can praise Nicole, the receptionist! She is extremly helpful, fun to chat to, even played some Majiang with me in the evening and offers an awesome service, such as the others as well. I seriously recommend staying there! The location is nice, even a bit far away from the metro station (15min. by foot), the service was excellent, room spacy, nice and clean.

Taxy, activity recommendations, sim card, installing chinese applications, a fee cooking workshop, a warm friendly hug and sweet chitchatting about life - just perfect for a solo traveler like me. Cozy backpackers international vibes with both Chinese and international friendly travelers. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and design of the main space.

Chengdu Mix Hostel Poshpacker is een gastvrije haven voor internationale reizigers voor bijna 20 jaar, biedt een gezellige retraite in dit traditionele binnenplaats huis om Chengdu's ontspannen sfeer... the beds were comfortable, the AC did wonders in such a humid climate, the shared showers and bathrooms were actually pretty nice.
