The hostel was kind of empty due to off-season so I was upgraded to a private room free of charge. When I woke up late, I still got my breakfast and all the tickets were booked through by Sonny, super convenient! He also invited me to dinner one night, which was a great experience 😊

The property is non-smoking and is set 5 km from Tianmen Mountain Ticket Office. An incredible warm welcome, I couldn't dream better for my very first trip to China! The hotel is nice and clean. The staff is very available: they helped me install WeChat, assisted me in buying tickets to visit the famous "Avatar Mountains" and even offered to drive me to the station with their personal car to avoid taking the bus or taxi. Border Town International Youth Hostel Fenghuang Ancient City Bar Street Branch features accommodation in Fenghuang. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and a shared lounge, along with free WiFi throughout the property. I arrived close to midnight and was given a private room instead of a bunk bed in a dorm, probably to not disturb others sleeping. The staff also provided an extension cable with the appropriate socket for my charger. The location was truly excellent, in the midst of the old town but on a side street, so not nousy as it can be with bars and singing thru late evening.
