I like the green concept, kitchen, water refill, unique vibe of the place

Staff amazing, facilities excellent, central location ut a 15 min walk to bus stop and 15 min taxi ($200) from train station. Room clean and functional although a little noisy as thin walls. Would highly recommend. Double room fine for solo traveller.

Very nice owner. He let me check in early. Very clean and comfortable. I departed early in the morning and he still made me breakfast-very nice! Even gave me fruit and an energy drink for my bike ride. Cheers!

I like the nice atmosphere of the place, it's clean, comfortable and convenient. Absolutely recommend to anyone. (P.S. the cat is super cute).

Located at one of the rural parts of the taiwanese east rift valley you can find Jamie's Guesthouse. After being greeted be a few lizards on the outside and a curious cat on the inside, you enter the common room with a warm welcome. A mixture of quiet jazz and japanese citypop is playing while you see a big bookshelf and many small interesting items on every surface in the building. The kitchen is filled with various cooking devices and ingredients. Another hangout area is outside behind the kitchen. The sleeping room itself and the bath are clean.

One of the hostels that really cares about their guests! Listens to your needs and gives recommendations to best utilize your time whilst in Taitung, from places to see and best places to eat. As for the property itself; in downtown Taitung and very central like 5 minutes from night market and 5 minutes to the central bus station. All the downtown attractions is walkable from hostel. It's around 15 minutes by bus from Taitung Train station. Very clean throughout from lobby, bathroom/toilets to the dorms. Would have been nice if the bed curtains goes all the way round the bed for full privacy but all the other advantages of the hostel outweighs this. The dorm bed is comfortable (not the hard type) and room had a personal locker that can fit laptop/tablets and daypack and maybe a small carry on baggage so a good decent size. Female dorm they also had free face cleansing pads, cotton buds, body moisturizer. Need own towels though. But I think you can rent from them, I had my own so don't know cost. Free simple breakfast but it was so comfortable I slept in most days and didn't have any. Other guests told me simple spread of toast, cereal and fruits. Not bad to include this type of breakfast for a dorm bed price. Has fridge but cannot cook in kitchen. However can bring food and eat in lobby/kitchen area. No washing/drying facilities but there is a 24 hour laundromat next door. So it has everything one needs for a good comfortable few days stay in Taitung. Would fully recommend this place and definitely stay here again (I actually extended already a couple days here this trip!) next time in Taitung. Great job in operating this hostel to the owner Diddy and staff Sarah and Ann... including Audi the ginger cat :-)

the owner is Very Nice. they both have Very good english, I had a few questions and they helped me to figure them out. also I got a recommendation for breakfast shop. Very good, I highly recommend.

The hostel had a cool vibe, was clean and fresh, and the owners were friendly and very helpful when we had questions about Taitung. The bathrooms were modern and clean, with lots of privacy. The dorms were well equipped with lights, charger and privacy curtain.
