Amazing hostel- everything about it was fantastic! I booked for two nights but ended up staying 11 lol. The host is v friendly, the hostel is a very easy place to relax and its a really nice walk along the railway lines to get to Ella town centre (40mins). Some nice restaurants along the way too (River Face). Socialble hostel, they provide a free breakfast and a cheap dinner (500-700 rupees). Good location for Ella Rock sunrise hike too:)

The hostel was Super clean and it was a great deal for the price i paid and the view from the rooftop was incredible ⛰️🌲🌳🏕️ The location was perfect, near the city and close to the restaurants, popular attractions and everything The owner was super nice and helpful and he helps you whenever he can. And he gave me free coffee and local sweets 🤗

Super welcoming host - I was offered a cup of tea at arrival :-) and several times during my stay. New hostels - all very functional, nice, clean and tidy. Very good location. The provided towels are really good!! (I experienced no towel or really old one in other hostels). Central without being in the middle of the noisy pubs/night clubs… Definitely recommend!

We had an amazing stay at 4 Axes Hotel! The food was delicious with both Sri Lankan and Western options. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, perfect for relaxing after exploring Ella.

Everything! I first thought the location wasn’t great, as it’s a 40min walk from the centre. But honestly, it is. Ella’s beauty resides in its waterfalls and hills, so you’ll always need to move around to experience it - being in the city centre is not a great advantage. And Kumi, being very close to Little Adam’s Peak allows you a comfortable sunrise/sunset climbing. The room is comfortable, with privacy in mind - curtains, effective mosquitos nets and reading-light for each bed. There’s also a cute outdoor space where you can have your meals and chill (great and huge breakfast included; dinner also possible - Dilan doesn’t admit but he cooks very well, I had the veg noodles and were the best I had in Sri Lanka). But without doubt the highlight is Dilan’s hospitality - he really treated me as you would treat family, making sure I was always well fed and happy. He drove me around to beautiful places, giving suggestions and advices regarding my plans. I can’t thank you enough for this experience! Value for money of this homestay is unbeatable!
