Omar’s hostel is a hidden gem for those who want to enjoy Montañita but still have a peaceful, authentic place to relax. Omar is such a kind, open, and experienced host – he shared great local tips, showed me around, and made sure I had the best time. The vibe is like staying with friends – super welcoming. I stayed in a colorful SpongeBob-themed room with blue, sea-inspired walls and a view of banana trees and singing birds. Just amazing. There’s a well-equipped shared kitchen, it’s close to town, and the private gym is a huge bonus for sporty travelers. Highly recommended!

I liked it, the hotel has a nice garden, the rooms are comfortable, all the furniture in teak wood and fast internet. It was what I was looking for, a quiet place within walking distance to the beach. The managers Susan and Ruben are very charismatic people.

Excellent location in a quiet town along the coast. About half the people staying there are both semi-permanently living there and returning each year which helps to create a real family atmosphere, and also really welcoming to new guests! The host was extremely nice and the communication with her was very efficient!! The rooms were perfect for us.
