First I thought I'd stay for just 1 night to rest before going to Laos, but ended up staying for 2 nights on my way to Laos and 1 night on my way back. What I liked: - you have a separate private house in a beautiful landscape - there is a desk/table and wifi, good for us working nomads - there are all the usual amenities like good AC, kettle, coffee, toiletries, water etc. - TV works great, I watched some films from my usb drive. - there is an outside kitchen with fridge, microwave, dishes etc. - cute cats and dogs on the territory - the host is so kind and helpful. He offers transfer to and from the border and the bus station, and also he agreed to keep my scooter for the time of my trip to Laos I would gladly just chill there for a week (if only I had the time). Next time I'm around, I'll definitely stay there again.

Gita's House is een vriendelijk pension en ligt in een rustige buurt van Chiang Rai, op 15 minuten rijden van het busstation. Everything. The place is clean, quiet, well kept. The bed is super comfortable. The shower has hot water, the decoration makes you feel at home. The staff is very helpful they give you tips on what to see around and you can rent a scooter directly there. The breakfast is very nice and has plenty of different options with delicious homemade marmelade. One regret is not being able to stay more. Thank you for everything 🙏

Alex and his family welcomed us in their lovely guesthouse. The room is comfortable and spacious with indoor and outdoor seating in the garden, great ac and wifi. The beds are hard (true south east Asia style) but it's exactly how we like it, so perfect for us, and you are given two blankets to choose how warm you want to be. Shower has great water pressure and hot water, and a hairdryer and towels are provided. Alex's wife and kids will prepare and serve a lovely breakfast of eggs and toast in the lovely patio. Tea, coffee and water are always available. Truly a lovely place to stay, tucked away in a quite street 10 minutes from the center of Chiang Rai, this is truly a lovely place to stay.

Bambuh Boutique Homestay ligt in Ban Den met uitzicht op de tuin en heeft een restaurant, een gedeelde lounge, bar, tuin en terras. De homestay beschikt over zowel gratis WiFi als privéparkeren. The room was great, really clean and equipped with everything, even a kettle with coffee and a mini fridge. The location is good, easy to get around with Grab if you don't have a car or scooter. Kallaya is amazing, very helpful and kind. Would recommend!

Tawan Shine ligt op minder dan 1 km van Standbeeld van koning Mengrai en 2 km van Wat Phra Singh, en is voorzien van kamers met airconditioning en een eigen badkamer in Chiang Rai. The room (including the bed)was confortable and big and very clean good wi fi it was very nice the service was very kind too and things to cook and a nice balcony the only thing to make it even better would be a small biscuit to take with coffee but it was already nice to have free coffee and water.
