We booked last minute for just one night, we were lucky to find the Terrace, a small, simple and incredibly peaceful place. The room was clean and spacious, overlooking the valley, good breakfast. Host Ashan is incredibly kind and helpful. Location is a 9 min tuktuk ride from the heart of Kandy (the hotel has one) which is absolutely worth it to enjoy the view and peaceful stay at Terrace Kandy. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the entire atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We left with full hearts (and stomachs!), and we would return in a heartbeat. The house is like a flower vase, surrounded by a beautiful garden, which is maintained adorably by the owner. Architecture and interior inside the house is something amazing. The serenity, specially if u seat quietly in the balcony at night, is mesmerizing. The owner is very welcoming and cordial. Breakfast was good too.

But what made our experience truly special was the owner, Kanu. He is one of the kindest, most genuine people we’ve ever met. He went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable and exciting as possible. Whether it was offering us rides in his tuktuk to explore the area, stopping at beautiful spots for us to take photos, or simply checking in to make sure we had everything we needed, Kanu was always there with a big smile and a warm heart. His son was just as lovely and helpful, making us feel like part of their family. The hospitality, the stunning views, the peaceful surroundings, and the love and care we received made this trip one we will cherish forever. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our honeymoon. Everything about Mountain View was mesmerising, peaceful, and perfect.
