The prestigious Almorah Hotel was built around 1841 and is a listed building of great importance. It is situated in an elevated position above the town of St Helier with magnificent views over the town and its interesting harbour filled with a mixture of fishing boats and private yachts. Our hosts, Carlos and Silvina were wonderful.Nothing was too much trouble,and always cheerful.Breakfasts were great,as were the evening meals.

Originally built 200 years ago, the guesthouse maintains some original features. stayed in a junior suite for about ten days. I was waiting for a call regarding a sports commitment, which in the meantime required relaxation and tranquility, as well as easy access to the sea. At Undercliff Guest House, I found everything I was looking for, plus the added bonus of surprising kindness from those who welcomed me. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the kitchen well-equipped, everything clean and fully functional. I wasn’t there for a vacation, but it was still a wonderful, comfortable, and restorative stay. From the property, there are at least a couple of trails that lead to exploring the coast, walks of several kilometers immersed in nature where birds of all kinds reign supreme. Go there, it’s beautiful.

The rooms were comfortable, and the owner was very kind. She served the breakfast herself with patient humor for two travelers who were just starting out on their next big adventure. We even came back to stay one more night at the end of our adventure.

This delightful accommodation in Jersey was chosen because of the high customer feedback ratings and it did not disappoint. The owners and staff were an absolute delight to talk to. The welcome we received was so warm and genuine. The room was ideal with a comfortable bed and facilities for making hot drinks and storing cold drinks or snacks was very welcome. The breakfast menu offered a good selection of dishes for the days when a smaller meal was wanted. The best surprise was the Taverna. The menu was extensive and personally I have never tasted a more delicious moussaka. The hard work all the staff and owners must put into running this accommodation deserves the highest praise.

Location is perfect - the bus stop is outside the guesthouse and easy to use the bus system (even though some routes are only every hour)!. Beachfront is across the road and numerous cafes as well as the local Co-op are in walking distance. Accomodation itself was ideal for the stay - all amenities covered and a very quaint breakfast area. We liked the extra touches of having a seating area downstairs and a fridge which was readily available for us to use.
